| Biography | Joseph Dixneuf was born on June 19, 1913, in Cholet (Maine-et-Loire). He joined the MEP (Paris Foreign Missions Society) in 1931. Ordained a priest on July 1, 1937, he left on September 14 of the same year for the mission in Mandalay (Burma). After studying Burmese in Mandalay and Mingyang, he was assigned to the missions of Nyaungbinta (1940) and Saizang (1949-1954). He was then tasked with opening the missions of Falam and Kalemyo (1958). In 1971, he returned to France for health reasons. He was assigned to the parish of Brive-la-Gaillarde as the parish priest. He died on December 4, 1981. |
